Fire Protection
Protecting Your Home from Wildfires

Forest fires continue to make headlines every summer. Kelowna is experiencing longer, hotter and drier summers, with fires becoming an annual threat to residential properties. Smoke filled summer skies have become "the new normal".

During a wildfire, wind blown embers are the leading cause of residential fires and lost homes. Reducing the temperature and increasing local humidity has been proven to significantly reduce the chances of fire.

Studies of actual events have proven that rooftop sprinklers dramatically improve the chances that your home will stay safe. Exterior sprinklers were installed on 188 properties in Cook County, Minnesota. During the Ham Lake Fire of 2007, all 188 protected homes survived and over a hundred adjacent unprotected homes were destroyed.

We will assess the fire danger to your property and prepare a plan to fire smart and protect your home.
You will be given a comprehensive report and quote outlining recommended methods and solutions to maximize the survivability of your property during a wildfire event. Upon your acceptance of the quote, we will implement the recommended solutions for your property.
